Albert Allen, son of John and Sarah (Pressley) Allen died at the family residence Monday the 10th inst, age 53 years. Kidney trouble with complications was the immediate cause. Funeral services were conducted at the Allen home by Rev. Palmer of the ME Church Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock and burial followed at Mount Hope cemetery. Albert Allen was known among his friends as “Curley,” on account of his waving hair. He was of a lively disposition and a general favorite. One sister, Mrs. Mary Wood and two brothers, Leroy and Charles Allen survive. Mr. and Mrs. Charles All and Allen Wood of Indianapolis attended the funeral. –- kbz
