ALEXANDER, Earl - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Earl Alexander of Fithian, Illinois, formerly of Covington, age 76, died Wednesday night, June 16, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Fithian, March 9, 1906, the son of Louis Sherman and Maude Myrtle Esworth Alexander. October 18, 1950, he married Mary Louise Drollinger, who died September 27, 1979. A retired farmer, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Covington.

  Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Leak and Donna Gibson, both of Covington; a son, Michael of Barling, Arkansas; two stepsons, Bob Allison and Maurice Allison, both in California; a sister, Mae Hartman of Chadwick, Illinois; and 11 grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Dr. Gregg Curtis officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. - thanks to S
