Donald L. Alexander, age 39, of Danville, Ill, a native of Fountain County and brother of Charles Alexander of Covington and Raymond Alexander of Attica, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, Dec 4. He was dead on arrival at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville and death was attributed to natural causes. Mr. Alexander was born April 14, 1927 in Fountain County, son of Rudolph and Hattie Carey Alexander. He was married Aug 1, 1953 at Portland Arch to Virginia McIntyre, who survives. He was employed as a foreman at the Traveler Boat Division in Danville. He had served in the US Army. He was a member of the United Automobile and Agriculture Implement Workers of America and the Vermilion Fishing Club. He attended the Nazarene Church. Surviving, in addition to the wife are: two sons, Ricky and Robert, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Alexander of Danville; the two brothers and four sisters: Mrs. Pauline Thomas of Georgetown Ill; Mrs. Leona Harper of Portland Arch; Mrs. Mildred Ross of Lafayette and Mrs. Ruth Grounds od Danville. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home in Danville. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.- kbz
