ALDRIDGE, J.C. (Dr) - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington, Nov 17 – A persistent rumor was current in Covington this week that Dr. JC Aldridge, son of David Aldridge, who resides near this city was dead at his quarters in France and that the body would be returned to the states for burial here. He is a Lt. in the Medical section and only recently sailed for France.  There was no truth whatever to the report and it evidently started from the death message which was received of the death of Dr. Homan, a former Covington man residing in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Homan spent several years in Germany and it was a confusion of the names which led to the report about Dr. Aldridge.
