AKERS, Lena Mae - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Lena Mae Akers of Attica, age 78, died Friday night, July 3, in Meadow Heights Nursing Home at Williamsport. She was born near Crawfordsville, May 5, 1903, the daughter of William and Mary Belle Watson Smith. In 1923, she married Samuel Roach, who died in 1939. She next married Richard Lane, who died in 1946. In 1958, she married Albert Akers, who died in 1962. She attended the Free Methodist Church in Attica and was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW at the Indiana Soldiers Home at Lafayette.

  Survivors include a son, Samuel Jack Roach of Attica; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, Ora Lee Roach, preceded her in death.  Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Maus Funeral Chapel in Attica with burial in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
