ADKINS, Nashville - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Died - At his residence 3 miles east of this city on Feb 18, 1894 Nashville Adkins, aged 62 years 9 months 29 days. Nash Adkins as he was familiarly called by his many friends, was a native of Fountain County. He was born April 19, 1831. On Dec 20, 1859 he was united in marriage to Mary W. Elkin, the Rec. CJ Bowles officiating.The fruits of their union were 4 children, 3 sons and one daughter - Granville B; William T; Ollie and Allen who with their mother survive him.. Mr. Adkins was a well known and highly respected citizen, a true friend and good neighbor. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Clifford Stewart of the Christian church of this city at the Kentuck church 5 miles east of Covington at 1 p.m. Feb 21. Interment at Mt. Hope. A large concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains to their last resting place.
