ADKINS, Mabel O. Drake - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Mabel O. Adkins of Veedersburg age 76, died Saturday afternoon November 11 in the Americana Nursing Home, Lafayette. She was born in Fountain County Jan 1, 1902 the daughter of James and Myrtle Richardson Drake. On June 10 1925 she married Leslie W Adkins who died Feb 2 1972. She was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodsit Church, Kingman NGO birthday club and Veedersburg JWG Birthday Club. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Norma Jean Strean of Veedersburg; a son James of Lafayette; a sister Mrs. Ruby Odle of Veedersburg and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Harold Nolting officiating. Burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
