ADAIR, Blanche Fields - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Blanche T. Adair, 68, Covington, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, October 29, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois.

  She was born March 18, 1915, the daughter of Charles and Bertie Fields. She first married Frank H. Slackeler and later married Vergie B. Adair, who died in June of 1973. She had resided in Covington the past ten years and had been employed ten years at Veedersburg Automotive.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bill Swaney of Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Green Newman of Rockford Illinois, and Mrs. Tanzel Connors of Sparta, Illinois; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a grandson.

  Services were conducted Tuesday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery. -s-
