ABOLT, Milford - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Newtown – Milford Abolt, 76, of 203 E. Washington St, died at 11:28 p.m. Monday May 14 2001 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.  He was born Aug 19, 1924 in Fountain County, was a 1942 Richland Township HS graduate and had resided in Newtown since 1960. In 1984, he retired as a service person from Indiana Gas Co working there 38 years. On May 20, 1944, he married Betty LeRea Wells in Newtown and she survives. Mr. Abolt was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church of Newtown. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening. Surviving with his wife are a son, Jeff Abolt (wife; Diana) of Attica; three daughters, Carolyn Glenn (Husband: Don) of Marietta, Ga; Phyllis Jordan (husband: James) of Columbus, GA and Tina Clawson (husband: Scott) of Veedersburg and a brother, Robert L. Abolt of Attica.

Funeral Notice: Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Maus Funeral Home, Attica.  Services there 2 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Burial at Union Christian Cemetery, Veedersburg. Surviving are 11 grandchildren. Preceded by a son, Michael Alan Abolt and brother Marvin Abolt. Memorials to American Lung Association. - kbz
