Veedersburg - Daniel C. Abolt, 77 of 1026 N. US 41 died unexpectedly Monday April 15 in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Lafayette. Mr. Abolt was a farme rin Van Buren Township of FOuntain County. Born March 26, 1919 in Warren County, he grew up in Warren County and graduated from Boswell HS in 1937. He had lived in rural Veedersburg for the past 49 years. He married Viola Parrish on Jan 15, 1947 in Hillsboro and she survives. He served in the Army and was a member of the America Legion Post 288 in Veedersburg. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dianne) Stewart of Beavercreek, Ohio; a brother, Charles Abolt of Brandon, Fla and a sister, Mrs. Martha Rayfield of Covington. Daniel C. Abolt, 77, 1026 N. U S Highway 41, Veedersburg, died Monday, April 15, 1996 in the emergency room of the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. Death was sudden and unexpected. He was born in Warren County, Indiana, on March 26, 1919. He was the son of Harry and Wilhemina Russell Abolt. He was raised in Warren County and graduated from Boswell High School in 1927. He has been a resident of rural Veedersburg for the past 49 years. He was a farmer and farmed in Van Buren Township of Fountain County. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #288 of Veedersburg. He was married to Viola Parrish on January 15, 1947 in Hillsboro. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dianne) Stewart, Beavercreek, OH; 2 grandchildren, Andrea and Ryan Steward, both of Beavercreek, OH; a brother Charles Abolt, Brandon, FL; a sister, Mrs. Martha Rayfield, Covington. His parents preceded him in death. Services will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, April 18, 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until service time at 2:00 p.m. – jlr
