Covington, Ind - Verley R. Abernathy, 49, of Brazil Rt 3 and former resident of Covington died at 6:10 last night (August 25, 1966) at his home. He was born south of Covington, son of Oscar and Vergie Moore Abernathy. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Robert. Survivors include the widow, Sara; a son, Dennis, a daughter, Mrs. Rita Salladay, all of Brazil; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Vergie Coffing of Covington; a brother, Quentin of Covington; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ercel St. George of Indianapolis; Mrs. Cleta Ware of Covington and Mrs. Connie O'Riley of San Francisco, Calif. The body is at Miller & Son Funral Home, Brazil. Arrangements are incomplete.
