  Veedersburg—Ruby Abernathy, 76, Route 2, Veedersburg, died at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 1989 at her home.

  She was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Wabash Township, Fountain County, the daughter of Frank M. and Ethel Pritchard Riley. She was married Sept. 19, 1933 to Ora S. Abernathy, who survives.

  She was a life resident of Wabash Township and attended Rabb School. She was a member of Cooper’s Chapel and was past worthy matron of Yeddo Chapter 313 Order of Eastern Star. She served as pianist for many years.

  Surviving, besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Curtis (Letty) Calder, Crawfordsville; a son, RaBob, Route 1, Covington; two brothers, Walter Riley, Danville, Ill., and Curtis Riley, Cayuga; six grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Max Paddock officiating. Burial was in Cooper’s Chapel Cemetery.
