Clinton, Nov 8 – A former mayor of Clint – Dr. Clyde Zink has died. Zink was mayor from 1935 through 1943. A Democrat, he also served three terms as Vermillion County coroner. He was active in fraternal affairs and a World War veteran.

Clinton, Ind Nov 8 – Dr. Clyde M. Zink, 57, former mayor and active in civic and fraternal affairs died at his home after an extended illness. A native of Salem, he was graduated from medical school at the University of Louisville in 1913. He was a veteran of WWI and began practicing medicine here in 1920. A Democrat, Dr. Zink served as mayor from 1935 to 1943 and also served three terms as coroner of Vermillion County. He was a member of the American Legion, the Scottish Rite and Moose lodges. Surviving are his widow, a daughter, a grandson and a sister.
