Robert H. Zimmerman, 84, life resident of Veedersburg, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday in Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Danville, Ill., where he was a patient a week.
Mr. Zimmerman was employed by the Veedersburg Brick Company for 50 years before his retirement and in recent years had operated, his own trucking business until ill health forced him to retire.  He was married in 1897 to Maggie Bowles who died in 1938 and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Crawfordsville.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Marie Smith, Mrs. Maude Allen, Mrs. Agnes Baldwin and Mrs. Isma Auter, all of Veedersburg; Mrs. Gertrude Robinson of Niles, Michigan and Mrs. Marjorie Moore of Okenios, Michigan. A son, George of Buchanan, Michigan and a sister, Mrs. Alice Hankins of Hillsboro.

Robert H. Zimmerman, 83, a former Veedersburg Brick Co. employee and later a truck driver, passed away at the Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Danville, Ill., at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14.  He had been in failing health one year, and a patient at the hospital one week.
A member of the Crawfordsville Methodist Church, he was born September 21, 1878 in Veedersburg to Washington and Aline Washburn Zimmerman.  He was married to Maggie M. Bowles in 1897, who preceded him in death in 1938.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Marie Smith, Mrs. Maude Allen, Mrs. Agnes Baldwin, Mrs. Isma Auter, all of Veedersburg, Mrs. Gertrude Robinson of Buchanan, Mich., Mrs. Margery Moore of Okinos, Mich.; one son, George of Buchanan, Mich., and one sister, Mrs. Alice Hankins, of Hillsboro.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday June 16 at the Fishero Funeral Home with the Rev. Hubert Searcy officiating. Burial was in Rockfield cemetery.
