Attica - Mrs. Eva S. Zick, 89, formerly of 500 N. Union St, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday in Woodland Manor Nursing Home. She had been in failing health several years and seriously ill since January. Born and educated at Attica, she was a life resident of this area and was formerly employed at the old Sterling Remedy Co. She was married in 1910 at Danville, Ill to Brownlow Zick who died in 1947. Mrs. Zick was a member of Attica Christian Church and a 54-year member of Women of the Moose. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Ethel) VanHorn of Attica; a nephew who was reared in their home, Robert Crigler and one sister, Mrs. Loren Douthit of West Lafayette. - k

Mrs. Eva S. Zick of Attica, age 89, died Sunday night, March 29, in Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica. She was born in Attica, September 7, 1891, the daughter of Elijah and Rozena Frances Skeins Sutherland. In 1910, she married Brownlow Zick, who died in 1947. Mrs. Zick was a member of Attica Christian Church and had been a member of the Women of Moose Lodge for 54 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Van Horn of Attica; a nephew reared in her home, Robert Crigler of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Lorene Douthit of West Lafayette; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Terry Green officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
