Jack N. Zenor, 74, a
lifelong resident of Williamsport, died at Country Care Nursing Center, at
10:50 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2000. Born in West Lebanon on March 2, 1926,
he was the son of Glen E. and Blanche (Kiser) Zenor. He graduated from
Williamsport High School. His marriage was June 20, 1948 in Attica to Elizabeth
“Anne” Miller, a secretary at Ford Motor Co. and a homemaker. She preceded him
in death on January 21, 1991. Mr. Zenor owned and operated Zenor Plumbing and
Heating in Williamsport for over 30 years. He was a member of the Williamsport
United Methodist Church. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Mr.
Zenor was Fire Chief of the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Department for 20
years. He was a member of F & AM Lodge #162 in West Lebanon, a member of
American Legion Post #259 in Williamsport and VFW Post #3318 in Attica. Mr. and
Mrs. Zenor spent quality time together at their summer residence on Raccoon
Lake. He coached Little League Baseball with the late Delbert Stitt. He was an
avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, boating, and goose hunting. Surviving, are:
two daughters, Cyndy (Leonard) Briles and Leanne (Rick) Peterson, both of
Williamsport; one sister, Joyce (Bob) Fox of Williamsport; eight grandchildren;
and 13 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, one
grandson and one great-grandson. Visitation was Friday at Fisher Funeral Home,
Williamsport, with Masonic service. Service there on Saturday, with Rev. Don
Williams officiating. Interment in West Lebanon Cemetery with military
graveside rites. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association
or the American Cancer Society. – jlr
