ZANE, Sara - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Sara A. Zane, perhaps the oldest resident of Fountain County who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie Romine, northeast of this city was born in Cumberland County, New Jersey on Nov 25, 1832.  She was married to Edward Zane in 1850 and came to this county in 1861. The husband died 40 years ago. Deceased is survived by three children, Mrs. Romine and Mrs. Mary Mead of this vicinity and James Zane of Warren County. Services were held at Salem Church Thursday morning; burial at Brown Chapel Cemetery near here. = kbz
