Hoopeston, Ill.—Audrey “Guy” Yowell Jr., 54, 313 S. Third Ave., Hoopeston, died at 10:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 1989 at United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill.

  He was born Nov. 23, 1934 in Orange County, Va., the son of Audrey G. and Lena I. Nash Yowell Sr.

  He retired in September 1974 from the U.S. Air Force, after 20 years service. He had worked in the electrical department of FMC Corp. in Hoopeston for the past 13 years.

  He was a member of Rossville, Ill. American Legion.

  Surviving are his mother of Orange, Va.; one son, Wayne E., Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Sam (Linda Sue) Verhoeven, Williamsport; one sister, Rebecca Brooks, Schenectady, N. Y.; one granddaughter, Melissa Sue Verhoeven, and twin grandsons, Samuel Ray and Daniel Guy Verhoeven, all of Williamsport, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Brown-Alkire Funeral Home, Hoopeston, with Don Glover officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery. – thanks to s
