Floyd B. (Zeke) Youngblood, age 73, well known Fountain County resident and musician and the father of Mrs. Lowell ( Eloise) Pendry, 1215 Fourth St., Covington, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. Mr. Youngblood had been in ill health for the past year and had suffered a stroke on Feb. 19. He was hospitalized for a while and then was taken to the Care Nursing Home in Danville where he was a patient about two weeks. He was born April 1, 1891, three miles south of Veedersburg, the son of Charles E. and Nellie A. Isley Youngblood. He attended two country schools in this county and also the Veedersburg schools. He was a promoter, inventor and musician. Years ago he organized a band, The Wabash Five, which played throughout the area. During the past year Mr. Youngblood had spent his time with his daughter in Covington and his son, William ( Bill) Youngblood in Lincoln, Ill. He was married Nov. 6, 1912 to Kathryn Warrick of Stone Bluff and she preceded him in death May 5, 1960. Surviving, in addition to his son in Lincoln, Ill., and daughter in Covington, are: five grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. Benny ( Esther) Ghromley, Mrs. Dorothy Snyder and Mrs. Iris Howard of Veedersburg, C. Frank Youngblood of Covington, Mrs. Lyle Ramsey of Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Mary Edwards and Ernest Youngblood, both of Silver Springs, Md. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg where funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday. The Rev. James Dyson of Veedersburg will officiate and burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery, south of Veedersburg.

Veedersburg - Floyd (Zeke) Youngblood a lifelong resident of Veedersburg, died Tuesday night at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. He was 74 and had been seriously ill for a week. He was born April 1, 1891, at Veedersburg. He was married November 6, 1912, to Kathryn Warrick, who preceded him in death May 5, 1960.. Survivors include two brothers, Frank Youngblood, former Fountain County sheriff and present postmaster of Covington and Ernest Youngblood of Silver Springs, MD; one daughter, Mrs. Eloise Pendry of Covington; one son, William Youngblood of Lincoln, Ill; five sisters, Mrs. Lyle Ramsey of Clearwater, Fla; Mrs. Mary Edwards of Silver Springs, Md; and Mrs. Dorothy Snyder, Mrs. Iris Howard and Mrs. Esther Ghormley, all of Veedersburg, and five grandchildren.
