-- Carl R. Youngblood, 75, of Terre Haute, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He retired in 1974 as a television technician after 31 years with Walker Electric Co, was a Navy veteran of WWII. Born Jan 2, 1914 in Rockville, he was the son of Harry R. Youngblood and Beatrice Barker Youngblood. His first wife, Bernetta Gibbs Youngblood died June 22, 1971.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Sweet Youngblood; one daughter, Lesley Newton of Terre Haute; one son, Richard of Kokomo; one step son, David Sweet of Sheridan, Ill; one brother, Owen of Terre Haute; three grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 2 pm. Friday in Callahan Funeral Home East Chapel in Terre Haute with Rev. Church Fisher officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park at North Terre Haute. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday with prayer service at 6:30.
