Attica - Connie Leann Cooper Young, 56, of 408 Baxter St, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, June 7 in the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapollis, where she had been a patient two weeks. Mrs. Young was born May 28, 1940 in Kramer. Her marriage was to Charles E. Young, Sept 25, 1965 in Lafayette. He survives. She was raised and lived most of her life in Attica. She graduated from Attica HS in 1958.
Mrs. Young had formerly worked in the claims department of the Meridian Mutal Life Insurance Co in Lafayette and later workied as a secretary at Purdue University. She was a member of the Attica Christian Church, a member and past worthy matron of the Attica Order of Eastern Star where she was currently serving as secretary. She also was a former Daughter of the Nile, Valley of Terre Haute, and was a member and active supporter of the Attica HS Athletic Boosters. Also surviving are two daughters, Jaqueline Brewer and Lynn Young, both of Attica; five sons, Thomas Young, Charles E. Young II and Lloyd Young, all of Portsmouth, Va; Phillip Young of Chesapeake, VA and Daniel Young of Attica; a sister, Lolene Pearl of Attica and her mother, Pauline Sullivan Cooper of Attica. - kbz
