COVINGTON — Sarah E. "Sadie" Young, 92, a lifelong resident of Covington died today in the Danville Care Nursing Home where she had resided since February of 1970. She was the former owner of Maple Corner Service Station and restaurant and was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church, Win One Class, United Methodist Women, Troy Chapter 145 OES, Pythian Sisters, BPW, Troy Township Democratic Womens Club and the Home Demonstration Club. She was born on Nov. 15, 1881, in Mellott to Clinton Auter and Emma Kemp. She married Wilbur J. Young in 1905. He died in 1936. A son and six brothers also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Wilbur J. Young of Rockford, Ill.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Peggy Miles and David Young of Griffith, Ind., Michael Young of St. Petersburg, Fla., and James Young of Odessa, Tex.; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert H. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. --typed by Walt W
