YOUNG, Flora Mitchell - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Flora M. Young, age 90, a native and life resident of Highland Township, Verm Co, IN died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, May 6 in St. Elizabeth Hospital where she had been ill a long time. Mrs. Young, who resided at Tree Springs on Covington Rt 2 was born April 9, 1875 in Highland Twp, the daughter of Thomas J. and Nancy J. Wright Mitchell. She was the last survivor of a family of six children. She was married May 9, 1906 to Alonzo G. Young, who preceded her in death April 8, 1963. She was a member of Benson Chapel Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Harold of Covington Rt 2. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Bill Moon officiated and burial in Lower Mound Cemetery southwest of Covington.
