Don Young, 81, of 810 Ravine Park Blvd., died Sunday, (June 29, 1969) at Colonial Manor Nursing home in Danville where he had been a patient for two weeks. Mr. Young had been in ill health the past year. Born in Fountain County on March 23, 1888, he was the son of Theodore and Mary Young. He was married, March 28, 1923, in Attica, to Blanche Jones who survives. Also surviving are a son, Bob D. Young of Noblesville; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Booth of Galloway, formerly of Danville, and Mrs. Roger (Mary) Smith of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Mesner of Jacksonville, Fla. and two grandchildren. Mr. Young was a life resident of Attica and had been a carpenter, cabinet maker and decorator. Services Wednesday at DeSutter’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Bachert officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.   -– jlr

Attica - Donald Young, 81, of 801 Ravine Park Blvd, Attica died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville, Ill.  He had been in failing health one year and a patient in the home two weeks. Mr. Young, a native of Fountain County was  a retired carpenter, cabinuet maker and decorator. In 1923 in Attica, he was married to Blanche Jones. Surviving with the widow are one son, Bob D. Young of Noblesville; two daughtesr, Mrs. Robert Booth of Galloway, Ireland and Mrs. ROger Smith of Indianapolis and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Mesner of Jacksonville, Fla. - kbz

Young, Donald – Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Tuesday at DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica. Services there at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Harold Bachert officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Two grandchildren also survive.
