Kingman- Bethevene Allen Young, 73, Rt 1, Kingman died 3:30 a.m. Nov 28, 1995 at Covington Manor Healthcare Center. She was born in Harveysburg, Oct 10, 1922 daughter of Charles Andrew and Clara Shumaker Allen. Married Paul Young in 1957, he preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Kingman HS and resident of Sparks and Reno, Nev for several years where she was a bank teller. She returned to Kingman in 1986. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and working crossword puzzles. Surviving are five sisters: Madeline RIchardson, Jacksonville, FL; Pauline Hodge, Steubenville, OH; Fauniel Colson, Hillsboro, Frances Rodgers, Zionsville; W. Marie Green, San Diego, Calif; and a brother, Harold John Allen, Kingman. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister. Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Thursday at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery with Kenneth Majors officiating. There was no visitation. Shelby Funeral Home, Covington was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Shawnee Adult Center or Vermilion Handicapped Association.
