Kingman - Floyd Addison York, 48 of Kingman Rt 1, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 1969 at his home. He had been ill for 10 years and seriously ill a year. Born Sept 25, 1920 near Rockville, he was the son of James and Ella Higgs York. He married Lillie Mae Weber Jan 3, 1942. Mr. York was a veteran of WWII having served in the South Pacific. He is survived by his widow; two sons, James of Veedersburg and Ronnie at home; a daughter, Mrs. James (Bonnie) Bowling of Kingman Rt 1; a brother, Robert of Veedersburg; 3 half sisters, Mrs. Madge Shell of Bloomington, Il; Mrs. Goldie Jenkins of Attica and Miss Wandaline Smith of Covington and a half-brother, Wayne Carey of Rockville. He was preceded in death by a sister and two half brothers. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Centennial Church near Kingman with Rev. Dale Cadman officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by Charles Forrest Post 288 of the American Legion of Veedersburg and Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home Marshall after 2 p.m. today. Body will be taken to the church 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
