Phyllis Jean Yerkes, 69, Yountsville, died 10;45 pm. Sunday in Williamsburg Nursing Home.  Mrs. Yerkes was a cook at the Holiday Inn for 15 years. She grad Kingman HS and a member of Congregational Christian Church, Wallace. She was born August 24, 1932 at Danville, Ill to George Alfred Ruggles, Sr. She married Corwin R. Yerkes Jan 28, 1951. He died April 27, 1977.  Survivors include a son, Phillips, Hillsboro; a daughter, Linda Ann Hutchison, Yountsville; a brother, Sonny Ruggles, Louisiana; a sister, Barbara Ann Young Champaign, Ill, 3 grandch. A daughter, Ellen Jo Yerkes, two sisters, a brother and two grandchildren are deceased. Funeral services scheduled 2 pm. Wednesday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. James Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call noon until the service Wednesday in the funeral home.
