South Bend - Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9 in South Bend for Paul E. Yerkes, age 65 brother of Mrs. Alva (Neet) Young of Covington Rt 1 and Mock Yerkes of Danville. Mr. Yerkes was stricken with a heart attack at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at his home and was pronounced dead on arrival at a South Bend Hospital. He was born and reared six miles south of Covington, but had lived many years in South Bend,where he was employed in the office of a pipe fitting concern. Mr. Yerkes was a son of William and Mary Walker Yerkes, both of whom are deceased. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Jane, two sisters, Mrs. Leah Cox, South Bend, and Mrs. Alva Young, Covington Rt 1 and a brother Mock Yerkes of Danville, Il.
