Hillsboro – Mrs. Goldie Yater, 76 formerly a Grange Corner resident died at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the home of her niece, Mrs. Twila Zackmire near Hillsboro with whom she stayed since being released from the hospital a month ago. A member of Friends Union Community Church south of Grange Corner, Mrs. Yater had lived the past year near Crawfordsville with her son, Herschel. She was married in 1914 to Bervie Yater of Independence. He died in 1958. Also surviving are five other sons, Lloyd of Lafayette, Mauriss of Indianapolis; James of Kingman; Vernon of Monticello and Gerald of Greencastle; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Malone of Lafayette and Mrs. Ruth Larson of Crawfordsville; a brother, Ray Cain of Laporte and two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Holycross of Hillsboro and Mrs. Ruth Bodle of Odell. - kbz

“Funeral Notices” – Yater, Mrs. Goldie – Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown. Service there at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. James O. Trousdale officiating. Burial in Bethany Cemetery near Marshalol. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. - kbz
