YATER, Arnold - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Arnold Yater of Woodland Manor Nursing Center, formerly of RR 2, Attica, age 82, died Wednesday afternoon, November 11, at the center. He was born at Independence, September 24, 1890, the son of James and Anna Summers Yater. In June of 1921, he married Elsie Whicker, who died June 4, 1947. A farmer in the Riverside area most of his life, he retired in 1963 from Fountain County Highway Department.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. LaVerne Neal of RR 2, Attica; two sons, W. Boyd of Lafayette and James of Zionsville; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial was in Independence Cemetery. - s
