YARBOROUGH, Ruth Cadwalder - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

ATTICA, Ind. – Mrs. Ruth Yarborough, 79, of 113 W. Pike, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday (July 12, 1978) in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lafayette. She had been admitted there Monday. Born Sept. 23, 1898, in Attica, she was the daughter of Frank and Flora Jane King Cadwalder. She had been a life resident of Attica and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. On Nov. 20, 1914, she married George A. Yarborough, who died in March of 1923. Survivors include a son, Donald Yarborough of Ventura, Calif.; two daughters, Miss Bertha Yarborough of Attica and Mrs. Flora Alice Best of Kankakee, Ill.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two daughters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family has requested that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Fountain County Cancer Society in her name.   -– jlr
