Veedersburg – Mrs. Margaret Volmer, 58, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth hospital, Danville, Ill. She had been in failing health six years and hospital patient two days. A native of Collison, Ill she was married in 1921 to Charles Volmer of Veedersburg who died in 1961. She was a member of Coopers Chapel EUB Church. Surviving are four sons, Fred and Gary of Covington; Beryl of Veedersburg and Ernest of Reno, Nev; three daughters, Mrs. Alberta Hayden of Lexington Park, Md; Mrs. Bernell Keefe of Lincoln, Neb and Mrs. Shirley Robbins of Veedersburg and five sisters Mrs. Vergie Blacketer of Covington; Mrs. Lola Carter of Gary; Mrs. Minnie Hand of Warsaw; Mrs. Nancy Timmons of Darlington and Mrs. Pearl Boone of Tampa, Fla. - kbz

Margaret Grimes Vollmer died Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient two days. She had been ill six years and had been hospitalized three times since June.
She was born on November 27, 1903, at Collison, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob Grimes and Mary Chitwood Grimes.
She was married to Charles F. Vollmer on January 15, 1921. They resided for many years on a farm near Covington. Mr. Vollmer preceded her in death on 10 of this year.
Four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Three daughters, Mrs. Alberta Hayden, Lexington Park, Md., Mrs. Vernell Keefe, Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Shirley Robbins, Veedersburg, and three sons, Freddie Vollmer, Covington, Beryl Vollmer, Veedersburg and Gary Vollmer, Covington survive together with twelve grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother and five sisters.
She was a member of the Coopers Chapel EUB Church. .
Funeral services will be held at the Fishero Funeral Home Friday , Dec. 22 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery.
