Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Ernest Voliva, 82, a farmer all of his life and a resident of the Hillsboro community for the past 25 years, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Culver Hospital. He had been ill 12 days. Mr. Voliva was born Nov. 27, 1882 at Newtown, the son of John David Voliva and Elizabeth Ogle Voliva. He resided at Bloomington, Ind., for 41 years prior to moving to Hillsboro in 1940. Surviving, in addition to the widow, are a brother, Harold of Bloomington; five sons, Dick of New Brunswick, N.J., Tom of Bradenton, Fla., Harry of Crawfordsville, Bill of Solsberry, Ind., and Clarence of McAllen, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Black of Security, Colo.; 25 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. One son preceded Mr. Voliva in death. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Greene and Harrell Funeral Home at Bloomington. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery south of Bloomington. ww

Hillsboro – Funeral services for Ernest Voliva, age 82, a resident of Hillsboro for the past 25 years, who died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday Aug 7 at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Greene & Harrell Funeral Home at Bloomington. Burial was in Clear Creek Cemetery. Mr. Voliva was born Nov 27, 1882 at Newtown, the son of John David Voliva and Elizabeth Ogle Voliva. He resided at Bloomington for 41 years prior to moving to Hillsboro in 1940. He was a farmer all his life. Surviving in addition to his wife are: five sons, Dick of New Brunswick, NJ; Tom of Bradenton, Fla; Harry of Crawfordsville; Bill of Solsberry and Clarence of McAllen, Tex; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Black of Security, Colo; 25 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and one brother, Harold of Bloomington.  He was preceded in death by one son. – kbz
