Silas A. Vickery, 83 a life long resident of Fountain County died Wednesday, July 10 (1940) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edward Bolton at Danville, Ill. He had been ill but a short time. He was the son of Erasmus & Fannie Clifton Vickery and spent the greater part of his lifetime in Covington. Several years ago he resided in Veedersburg. There are surviving 4 children: Fred of Ypsilanti MI; Mrs. John Shoaf and Mrs. Ed Bolton and Frank Vickery all of Danville, Il. Funeral services were held Saturday at the funeral home in Crumley & Son at Covington with burial in Mt. Hope.
