Mary Louise Vickery was born in Covington, Indiana Jan 15 1901 and departed this life at 7:30 p.m. April 27th 1922 at age 21 years 3 months and 21 days. She grew to womanhood in this city and received her education in the public schools here, graduating from the HS with the class of 1919. After graduating she became a telephone operator and was employed by the Fountain Telephone Co until her health began to fail last October. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had a kind and loving disposition and was loved by all who knew her. She was a daughter of Mrs. Jewlie Gebhart- Vickery who departed this life about one year ago. She leaves to mourn their loss, her aunt with whom she has made her home since the death of her mother, her father, one brother, Louis Vickery who is serving in the QMC of the USA and is stationed at Ft. Sheridan several cousins and a host of loving friends and companions…. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Arthur Harmon on the Baptist Church from the home of her aunt, Miss Katie Gebhart at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, interment following in Mt. Hope cemetery besides the remains of her mother who passed away a few months ago. – kbz
