Elmer C. Vester, 62, Rt 2, Attica died at Veteran's Hospital in Danville, Ill Wednesday Nov 5, 1975 where he had been a patient 2 days and had been ill for 6 months. He was born in Greenhill Dec 24, 1915, the son of Herman and Louise Fanley Vester. He had lived most of his life in Attica and was married Jan 20, 1956 to Marguerite Dewley, who survives. He was a graduate of Attica HS and had been a farmer and was also employed at Harrison Steeel Casting Company and with the Fountain County Highway Department. He was a veteran of WWII serving the Army and had attended the Free Methodist Church in Pine Village. Other survivors are one son Elmer Jr. at home; one brother, John Rt Attica; one brother and his parents preceded him in death. Services at the Maus Chapel with Rev. Thurman Blaylock and Rev. Melvin Nead officiating. Burial in Rainsville Cemetery with VFW military graveside rites.
