VESTAL, Myrtle Hogue

Myrtle Hogue Vestal was born February 23, 1883 in Cole County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Martin and Ellen Flyn Hogue. She was married to Justin Vestal on March 6, 1929. She died Saturday, July 17, 1948 at 10:10 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had had a slight stroke on Monday and had been taken to the hospital. She had been ill for about four months. Mrs. Vestal was a member of the Methodist Church in Pence, Indiana.

Survivors are her husband; one stepson, Roy Vestal of Paris, Illinois; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Lois Wimsett of Dana, Indiana and Mrs. Gene Crum of Tangier, Indiana, formerly of Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Baker and Mrs. Elizabeth Gorman, both of Paris, Illinois; and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Pence at 1:00 Tuesday, July 20. Burial will be at the Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois, Rev. Everett A. White officiating. Hamilton Funeral Home will be in charge of funeral arrangements. -S&E
