Mrs. Jane Vestal, 86, a former Pence resident, died Saturday Dec. 13, 1975, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. Prior to entering the hospital, Mrs. Vestal had resided at Danville Care Nursing Home for five years. A native of Edgar County, Ill., Mrs. Vestal lived at Pence 40 years before moving to the unrsing home. In 1908 she was first married to Leslie Amick, who died in 1955. Her second marriage was in 1960 to Justin Vestal and he also preceded her in death. She and Mr. Vestal resided at St. Bernice. After his death she occupied an apartment in the Elmer Danley home on North Perry Street, before going to Danville. She was a member of Pence United Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors Lodge of Hoopeston, Ill. Surviving are a son, George Estel Amick of Greenwood; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorotha) Miller of Rt. 4, Attica, and Mrs. Henry (Helen) Sharff of Bagdad, Ariz., and one sister, Mrs. Ola Wright of Danville, Ill. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Pence Methodist Church with Rev. Everett White and Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial in Jordan cemetery with Fisher Funeral Home.
