Attica, Ind., Dec. 10 - Tyler Verrill, 25 years old, of Attica, an extra conductor on the Chicago Attica & Southern railroad, was killed Sunday morning when he fell from the top of a moving freight train. The accident occurred at Lacrosse in Laporte county. Verrill is thought to have slipped and lost his footing. He fell under the train and several cars passed over his body. He is survived by the widow and three children, who are now quarantined for diphtheria. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Verrill, and a brother, live in Goodland. He was a native of Goodland.

Goodland, Ind Dec 10 – Tyler Verrill, age 25, of Attica, employed as an extra conductor on the Chicago, Attica & Southern Railroad was killed Sunday afternoon, near Fair Oaks when he fell from the top of a car. Verrill had taken some orders at LaCrosse and was making his way to the engine of the train to deliver the orders to the engineer. He is believed to have missed his footing. Besides the widow and a small daughter, who are in quarantine in their home because of diphtheria, Verrill is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Verrill and a brother, Albert Verrill, living here. The funeral will be held at the home of his parents and burial will be at Veedersburg.
