JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lola S.
Dyson VanNote, 93, Jacksonville, Fla., died June 2, 2001. She was born June 24,
1907 in Mellott, the daughter of John W. and Prudie Wilson Dyson. She married
Lawrence VanNote of Veedersburg on Nov. 3, 1923 in Covington. He preceded in
death in 1974. She attended Mellott school. Her and her husband moved to
Indianapolis in 1939. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Indianapolis
and several women's groups. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: three
children, Marjorie (Gorden) Richaw, Jacksonville, with whom she resided the
past 11 years, John (Wanda) VanNote, New Augusta and Dick (Eula) VanNote,
Vennice, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law,
Margaret Dyson, Mellott. She was also preceded in death by five brothers,
Truman, Herschel, Virgil, Roscoe and Delmar and a granddaughter, Norma J.
Adams, Jacksonville. Funeral services were June 7 in Washington Park North
Cemetery in Indianapolis. – jlr
