VanLEER, Herbert - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Herbert Van Leer of Williamsport, age 67, died Tuesday morning, January 25, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He was born in Marshfield, June 3, 1915, the son of Jessie and Nellie Roderick Van Leer. December 11, 1939, he married Selma E. Kincade, who survives. Van Leer was a body shop repairman at Mike’s Body Shop in Covington for several years and had previously worked at Alcoa in Lafayette.

  Also surviving are two sons, Lowell of Williamsport and Don of Indianapolis; four brothers, Francis, Richard and Merle, all of Covington, and Howard of Fresno, California; and six grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport with Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport. – thanks to s
