State Line, Ind. – Chester A. VanLeer, 60, of State Line, Ind., died at Lake View Memorial yesterday afternoon (March 12, 1967). In failing health for two years, he had been seriously ill three months. Born in Marshfield, Ind., Jan. 5, 1907, he was the son of Isaac and Nancy Jane Steel VanLeer. He was employed by the Allith Corp. in Danville as a punch press operator. He was life-time resident of the Warren County area. On April 11, 1927, he was married to Lula Bell Holbrook at Danville. She survives along with: Three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Collins of State Line, Mrs. Bert Stroup of Baton Rouge, La., and Mrs. Paul Farrow of Tilton; nine grand-children; two great grand-children; and two sisters, Mrs. Mable Ritenour of West Lebanon, Ind., and Mrs. Leota Sisk of Attica, Ind. He attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Eagles Lodge 2799 of Danville, Moose Lodge 1001 of Danville and Local 532 of the United Auto Workers. Services will be held at the Crowmer-Siddens Chapel at West Lebanon at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bertha Knox and the Rev. Grover Williams will officiate, with burial in West Lebanon Cemetery.
