Mrs. Ada Bell VanLear, age 76, a resident of Covington, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient since May 3. Mrs. VanLear was born in Perrysville Nov. 12, 1889, the daughter of Ace and Loraine Ramsey Hinton. She was married in 1906 to Nathan VanLear, who survives. Also surviving are: three grandchildren, Clarence McClure of Veedersburg, Mrs. Betty L. Everson, 916 Jefferson St., Covington, and Mrs. Helen Killingworth of Windham, Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Joseph Hinton of Perrysville, Forrest Hinton of California, and William Hinton of Perrysville, and one sister Mrs. Gladys Hegg of Danville, Ill. She was preceded in the death by one son, one daughter and two sisters. The body is at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington where friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening, May 11. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Ashley will officiate and burial will be in Hicks Cemetery, west of Perrysville. --typed by Walt W
