Covington, Oct 10 – Amy Royce VanHook, a bride only a few weeks died suddenly this morning at the home of her husband’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Vanhook, who live on the canal road south of Covington. Her death was sudden and unexpected. She was in her usual health and partook of breakfast with the family. About 7 o’clock she went to make the beds and was found a short time after by her mother-in-law lying on the floor cold in death. She had been treated for heart trouble and it is believed that her death was the result of a sudden attack of the disease. She was about 22 years old and was married to Ernest VanHook about two months ago. They lived with Mr. Vanhook’s parents but expected to go to housekeeping for themselves. The deceased formerly made her home in this city with Mr. and Mrs. PJ McMahon. She was a young lady of excellent character, loved and esteemed by all who knew her. Her relatives do not live in this vicinity but an effort is being made to locate her father to acquaint him of the untimely death of his daughter. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. - kbz
