Oxford—Lillian Brown VanDame, 78, Route 1, Oxford, died at 2:58 a.m. Sunday, June 18, 1989 in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient there four days.
She was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Fargo, N.D. She lived in Attica and Winamac for a time and in Oxford since 1973. She was married Dec. 14, 1935 in Fargo to Floyd F. VanDame, who preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1969.
She was a homemaker and formerly was employed at Paris Cleaners in Attica for 20 years.
She was a graduate of Fargo High School and attended college in North Dakota.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wendell (Shirley) Munsey, Oxford, and Mrs. Thomas (Kathryn) Anderson, Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Kring, Conrad, Mont., and Mrs. Esther Akason, West Fargo, N.D.; one brother, Melvin Brown of New York; four grandchildren, Lendell and Steven Munsey, Tamryn Chambers and Mark Anderson, and two great grandchildren, Zachary and Storm Anderson. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today in Hippensteel Funeral Home Chapel, Lafayette, with the Rev. William Scott officiating. – thanks to S
