ATTICA — Bernice Matilda VanDame, 85, Attica, died at 12:55 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2001 in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. She was born Sept. 2, 1915 in Fargo, Cass County, N.D., the daughter of Charles J. VanDame and Sophia Pearl VanDame. She attended school in Fargo. N.D. She was a homemaker and attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Attica. Survivors include: a brother, Harold (Stella) VanDame, Attica; a sister, Thelma C. Verney, Attica; and 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Xavier Church, Attica, with Father Charles Kline officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Attica. – jlr
