UNEKIS, Eva Kelly - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Eva Unekis of Westville, Illinois, age 81, died Monday morning, July 26, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois. She was born in Dublin, Ireland, January 22, 1901, the daughter of James Patrick and Mary Katherine McDonald Kelly. September 18, 1922, she married Joseph A. Unekis, who died November 28, 1970. Mrs. Unekis was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westville and its Altar and Rosary Society.

   Survivors include a daughter, Mary McConnell of Covington; two sons, Richard of Baltimore and Joseph of Manhattan, Kansas; three sisters, Eily Markle of Westville, Mary Mahoney of Greencastle and Mona Moyer of Vincennes; two brothers, Joseph Kelly of Memphis, Tennessee, and Vincent Kelly of Asheville, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westville with Rev. Leo Bates officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery at Danville. – thanks to S
