TURPIN, Arville - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Arville D. Turpin of Crawfordsville, age 47, died Thursday, May 20, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born in Kentucky, January 11, 1935, the son of Amos and Irene Atkins Turpin. March 29, 1957, he married June E. Reese, who survives. A member of the United Pentecostal Church, he had been employed by the city of Crawfordsville with the park department and the light company.

  Also surviving are his mother, Irene Neal of Hillsboro; three daughters, Pamela Dexter of Linden, Diana Johnson of New Market and Kathy at home; a son, Robert of Crawfordsville; four sisters, Bertha Poteet of Brevard, North Carolina, Loretta Laycox of Nashville, Tennessee, Linda Turpin of Houstonville, Kentucky, and Marie Davis of Russell Springs, Kentucky; six brothers, Frank and Ollie of Attica, Chester of Steger, Illinois, James of Lafayette, Earl of Indianapolis and Lewis of California; and four grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Burkhart Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Clarence Lee officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery south of Crawfordsville. – thanks to S
