Mrs. Elizabeth Noilla Turner, wife of James Turner, one of the oldest residents of Wayne Township, Tippecanoe County died at 12:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the family home at West Point.  Her demise was due to the infirmities of age.  Mrs. Turner was born in Wayne Township July 15, 1840 and was the daughter of John and Fidella Emerson, deceased. She was united in marriage with Jas. Turner Sept 27, 1855.  Eight children were born to the union, two of whom died in infancy. The surviving children are: Mrs. Serepta Jane Shock of York, Neb; Mrs. Matilda M. Nelson; Mrs. Carrie B. Coran; Charles, Elmer and Benjamin Turner all of West Point. In early life, Mrs. Turner united with the Methodist Episcopal Church and she was a conscientious Christian.  She was devoted to her home and family and was admired and respected by all who knew her. On Sept 27, Mrs. Turner and her husband celebrated the 67th anniversary of their marriage.  Funeral services will be conducted from the West Point ME Church at 2 o’clock this afternoon, Rev. JE McCloud of Kentland will officiate and interment will be in the West Point cemetery.  Her grandsons will act as pallbearers.
