TURNER, Arthur J. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Arthur J. Turner of RR 1, Attica, age 88, died Sunday afternoon, May 2, in Edgewood View Nursing Home at Oxford. He was born October 12, 1893, the son of Peter and Clara Hall Turner. April 25, 1913, he married Hattie Mae German. Turner was a farmer in the Pine Village area for 40 years and moved to Attica to live with his daughter, Velma Brier, when he retired.

  Also surviving are four other daughters, Florence Crawford of Michigan City, Irene Campbell of Peoria, Illinois, Evelyn Miller of Cedar Lake and Charlotte Fletcher of El Paso, Illinois; a son, Leonard of Attica; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at Maus Chapel in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Sugar Creek Cemetery at Stockland, Illinois. – thanks so much to “S”
